| The first McFarland (all year) reunion began in 1983. Faculty and students of South Ward, Mineola Colored School, and McFarland attended. The Guest Speaker was The Honorable Willie L. Brown, Jr., former Speaker of the California State Assembly (Mineola Colored High, Class of 1951).
The first reunion marked the beginning of the biennial reunions set for alumni of South Ward, Mineola Colored High, and McFarland High School. |
